My mom's an internet cooking star....
A couple months ago my niece, Bianca, was telling me about the blog she created for a school project. When I visited the blog, I was pleasantly surprised how professionally done it was. I don't know why I was surprised. Bianca is a lovely, smart, and talented young lady.
But that wasn't the only surprise. The content of the site was cooking, and yes, you guessed it, starring my 72 years young mother -- my niece and all my mother's grandchildren lovingly call her "Nonnina".
The site is very well written with beautiful pictures of all the food. The recipes are all traditional Italian family favorites ranging from main courses to deserts.
My favorite so far are the Bocconotti cookies. A delicious concoction of almonds, chocolate, and sugar, that have become my mom's signature cookie.
When you have a chance, stop by at Nonnina's Kitchen and try some of the mouth watering recipes that we have enjoyed for years.

Recently Microsoft issued a security update for Silverlight -- KB2890788. On my computer the update was failing every time the automatic update feature of Windows 7 tried to install it. Every time the computer was shutdown at the end of the day it would try to install this security update for Microsoft Silverlight component. The update would fail with Error Code 670 with the following details:
I tried various ways to try to resolve this issue including uninstall Silverlight -- system was not able to uninstall because of invalid update sequence.
Finally I found this link from the Microsoft Support Website that resolved the problem for me. How to Clean a Corrupted Silverlight installation and reinstall Silverlight: Follow the link and scroll down to the resolution section:

iTunes prompting for password on every startup
I noticed some time ago -- probable last November -- every time I connect my iPod Touch to my computer, iTunes wants me to enter my password. Finally I was so annoyed with this I decided to try to get to the bottom of it.
After reading some posts from around the web, I tried to the following:
- Log out of your iTunes Store account.
- Exit iTunes.
- Find the iTunes icon on your desktop or Start menu or type iTunes in the search box in your Start menu.
- Right Click on the iTunes icon.
- Choose "Run as Administrator".
- Go to the iTunes Store and log-on to your account.
- Voila -- it should fix the problem. Try it by exiting and re-starting iTunes -- you should not be prompted for your password.
